Teriyaki was popularized in Seattle in 1976 and has been a Seattle staple ever since. Here at BB’s, we care deeply about continuing that legacy. We understand how difficult it is to find fast, healthy and affordable food, and we take great pride in sourcing only the highest quality ingredients. BB’s cares about being a part of our community: about UW, about the U-District and about Seattle. BB’s also cares about our environment, which is why all of our packaging is 100% compostable, and why you can find us out on the street or alley everyday trying to keep The Ave as clean as possible.

Teriyaki is Seattle’s food, and BB’s is Seattle’s teriyaki.

Who is BB?

BB is my mentor and an amazing man. He runs my childhood favorite teriyaki restaurant, and I had the pleasure of apprenticing under him and learning the teriyaki trade. He’s kind, honest, and extremely funny. BB is the inspiration for my restaurant, and I never could have gotten to where I am without him. Do yourself a favor and go order a spicy chicken from Yoshino Teriyaki on First Hill (1010 Madison St.). On top of the best teriyaki you have ever had, you will get amazing customer service and a lot of laughs.

Why BBs?

I was born in Montlake, raised on Capitol Hill, and graduated from the University of Washington. I walked up and down The Ave thousands of times and suffered through far too many painful Husky football seasons. I’m a teriyaki loving, Chris Peterson worshipper and a proud member of the University District community. Teriyaki has always been my favorite food, and I’m thrilled to be able to continue this delicious Seattle tradition and remain a part of my community by serving teriyaki to you and generations of Huskies to come.

Thank you,
